Limerick: Izzy

There once was a girl named Izzy,
Who drank lemonade that was fizzy,
It went up her nose,
And dribbled onto her toes,
And made her go into a tizzy.

New Haircut

She was a girl of twelve, with eyes glittering like the deep blue ocean. Her personality shone as bright as the Sun. Her best quality was her waist –long golden blonde hair, though. She was like Repunzal. When she walked anywhere, anyone would stare at her, as if she was a Greek goddess. When it rained, she still glimmered. But all of a sudden, she had her hair cut. She was ruined. She no longer stood out from other girls. She no longer was the apple of everyone’s eye. She was as dull as a brick wall, with nothing exciting or special about her anymore. It was as if the Sun inside her had set, and wouldn’t be coming back for a while. Her new hair cut was horrendous, and nothing about her was wonderful or fascinating anymore.

An essay on Pontius Pilate

Who was he?
Pontius Pilate was a Roman governor of Judea during Jesus' earthly ministry. After Herod was removed from being kind over Judea, governors where appointed by the emporer to rule the province. Pilate was the fifth of these. Tiberius appointed him in 26 C.E., and his rule lasted ten years.

His rule.
Pilate's rule was not a peaceful one. He made a bad start as to his relationship with his Jewish subjects. He would frighten petitioners with the threat of being executed.
Philo, a Jewish writer from the first century C.E. describes a act by Pilate provoking protest, this time involving shields bearing the names of Pontius Pilate and Tiberius, who Pilate worked for.

Josephus lists another disturbance. To build a aqueduct to bring water to Jerusalem from a distance of twenty-five miles, Pilate used money from the temple treasury at Jerusalem. Crowds protested this act so Pilate sent disguised soldiers to attack the Jews at a signal, resulting in some of them being injured and killed.

Jesus' Trial.
On Nisan 14, 33 C.E., at dawn, Jesus was brought by Jewish leaders to Pontius Pilate. Pilate inquired as to the charge against Jesus. The charges where that Jesus was subversive and saying he was a king, therefore rivaling Caesar. Pilate questioned Jesus concerning the charges. When he returned to the accusers, he said that he found no fault in the accused. The accusations continued, and when he learned Jesus was from Galilee, Pilate sent him to Herod Antipas. Herod mistreated and ridiculed Jesus, then returned him to Pilate.

The people and the Jewish leaders were summoned and Pilate renewed his efforts to avoid sentencing a innocent man to death. He asked the crowds if they wanted Jesus released, but instead the crowd, incited by the religious leaders, clamoured for the release of Barabbas, a theif and murderer. Fearing a riot, Pilate acceded the crowd's wishes, and released Barabbas.

Pilate then had Jesus whipped, and the soldiers placed a crown of thorns upon his head, and dressed him in royal robes. Pilate had Jesus come out before the people. At Pilate's cry, “Look! The man!” the leaders of the people again demanded Jesus to be killed. Pilate cried again, “see, you king!” But the people only said, “we have no king but Caesar.” Pilate then gave in and handed Jesus over to be killed.

His personality.
Writers such as Philo, paint Pilate as a inflexible, self-willed man. The Gospel accounts give some accurate insight into this man's makeup. His approch to matters was typical of the Roman ruler, his speech terse and blunt. He nevertheless showed superstitious fear, upon hearing that he was dealing with one who claimed he was God's son. Pilate recognised Jesus' innocence yet he gave into the crowd and turned a innocent man over for them to slaughter him.

Removal and death.
Josephus reports that Pilate's later removal from the office was due to complaints from Samaritans. The complaint was about Pilate's slaughter of a number of Samaritans. Vitellius ordered Pilate to Rome to appear in front of Tiberius, and he put Marcellus in his place. Tiberius died in 37 C.E. while Pilate was still on his way to Rome. History gives no reliable data as to the results of his trial. The historian Eusebius of the late third and forth centuries claims that Pilate was obliged to commit sucide druing the reign of Tiberius' succeser Gaius (Caligula).

Ella The Super Agent- Forbidden

Chapter 1

I sat on my bed, fanning myself with the money Becky had given me for a pay check. $100.00, what could I spend with that?! Suddenly, my phone rang. It was Becky.
“Hi Becky!” I said.
“Hi Ella.” Becky replied.
“What's up?” I asked.
“Ella, we need you over in H.Q. now. Call Megan and tell her too.” Becky instructed.
“Alright.” I obeyed.
I hung up and called Megan.
“Heyya!” She said brightly.
“Hi, Megan.” I replied.
“Ella! What's up?” Megan asked.
“Becky just called me to say she needs us over in H.Q. immediately. I don't know why, but she said for me to tell you, too.” I explained.
“Got it, I'm on my bike right now.” Megan said. She hung up. I went outside and got onto my stylish electric bike. Then I cycled over to H.Q.
“Hey Becky, what's wrong?” I said as I walked into H.Q. I had my back turned so I hadn't seen what Becky wanted me to seen yet.
“Ella, turn around.” Lola, (the disguise girl), told me. So I did, and I was shocked.
H.Q. was a mess, chairs had been knocked over, Becky's control machines and trackers were buzzing like mad, coffee was all over the floor, and, spray painted on the wall was, 'HA HA!'
We had been vandalized.

Chapter 2

“This is terrible.” I said.
“I know, they left the lights on.” Izzie sighed. (She's another GSS agent.)
“Not that! Our H.Q. has been ruined!!” I yelled.
“Oh.” Izzie said.
“This is what I wanted you for Ella, Megan. Several  places have been vandalized. The book shop down town, the bakery and Barneys. I expect there will be more.” Becky said.
“Oh no! I won't be able to go shopping!” Izzie exclaimed. We all sighed.
“We need to stop them!” Megan shouted.
“We will, but first we need to clean up.” I said.
“No, not yet, just look for clues first. Whoever vandalized us must of left clues.” Becky instructed.
Me and Megan and Izzie looked around for clues. We only found a small piece of green cloth.
“Will this help?” I asked.
“Yes. Now we can clean up.” Becky said as we got to work.
We had a mega tidy/clean up. Megan mopped up the coffee, Becky saw to her control machines and trackers, Lola and I re-painted the walls, Lily pushed the chairs in and Izzie dusted, generally cleaning up.
“Now what?” Megan breathed when we were all done.
“Go home everyone, I will anylize this fabric.” Becky suggested.
“Alright. Tomorrow we'll really get to work.” Lily said as she walked out of the door with Lola, (they're twins.)
“See you, Becky!” I called.
“OK, Ella.” Becky replied.

Chapter 3

In the morning, we all met up at H.Q. again. Becky had the police with her.
“I have an anouncement to make, guys.” Becky said when we were all there.
“Yes?” Said Lola and Lily in unision, (they always do that.)
“We're not going to be solving this case.” Becky announced.
“Why?” Izzie asked.
“Let's not go into details right now, Izzie. I'll just say I've never solved a case like this, with no clues except one piece of fabric.” Becky said,
“I think we could do it, Becky, in fact, I know we can.” Argued Hilary (another agent.)
“We can't, Hilary. Now I don't want anyone trying to solve this case. No investigating, nothing. We'll let the police handle it, OK. Am I clear?” Becky said firmly.
“Yes.” We all muttered.
“Can we help a little bit?” Megan asked.
“No, Megan. Let the police do it all.” Becky answered.
“That's not fair! We're good at solving mysteries.” Izzie protested.
“We don't have the experience, Izzie.” Becky said.
“You do! You've been in the GSS for ten years!” Hilary exclaimed.
“Even so, it's not going to happen. We're not solving the case, or having anything to do with it, end of discussion.” Becky demanded. We all simply nodded, and said nothing else.

Chapter 4

I went home after leaving H.Q. and popping into the supermarket and buying some batteries for my torch. When I got home, Mum had left me a note saying,

Popped out for a while, be back soon.

I was puzzled. The note wasn't in my mum's swirly handwriting. Hmmm, I thought. Then I had it!  Mum had been kidnapped. The criminal had left a note to deceive me. Well, Mr. Villian, look out, your dealing with Ella the Super Agent.

*          *          *

An hour later I was trying to figure out how long ago the note had been written by the faded ink. Then someone called.
“Yes?” I answered.
“Ella, it's me. Megan. Something terrible has happened.” Megan said, she was crying.
“Oh no, what's happened Megan?” I asked.
“Me and my dad's flat has been trashed too!” Megan burst into puddles of tears.
“That is terrible.” I said.
“It gets worse. Someone has eaten all the chocolate chip cookies I made at the weekend!” Megan sniffed.
“Er, maybe that's not too terrible. But get this, my mum's been kidnapped!” I exclaimed.
Megan gasped. “What?”

Chapter 5

“Oh, Ella, you must be so worried!” Megan exclaimed.
“I am.” I said.
“I'm coming over.” Megan said.
“No, don't. I'll do it by myself. I'm a super agent, aren't I?” I said.
“Yeah, but be careful.” Megan rang off.
I got back to my working out how long ago the note was written by the faded ink. I stared it at, and got out my magnifying glass. On the paper I saw little scratch marks made by an eraser on a pencil. They must of rubbed something out. Then I gasped, I only knew one person who used a pencil always. Hilary!!! But it couldn't be her. Anyone in New York could use a pencil, couldn't they?

*            *            *

In the morning I rang my mum's cell phone. It started ringing, and eventually someone answered.
“Hello?” They asked. It sounded like a woman, or a girl.
“Emily! It's you isn't it?” I asked.
“Don't be silly, she's behind bars.” The girl laughed. Then I realised, it was Hilary!
“Hilary, why are you doing this?” I asked.
“Ever heard of fun? Take a joke, Ella!” Hilary laughed again.
“No, ever heard of crime, Hilary! Kidnapping and vandalizing!” I exclaimed.
“I want to live a life of adventure!” Hilary said.
“Where's my mum, Hilary?” I exclaimed.
“Safe. Don't worry, she's just doing a little errand for me, and then I'll give her back. Deal?” Hilary asked.
“No, no deal, I'm calling the police!” I exclaimed.

But Hilary had hung up already.

Chapter 6

I rang Mum's mobile again and again, but no one picked up. But I didn't give up. I rang Hilary's mobile instead. This time she did pick up.
“What Ella?” She asked.
“What's the errend your making my mum do?” I demanded.
“I heard she's a computer expert, so I thought I could get her to hack into the government's website and steal a few secrets. She's still refusing to do it but I'll find a way.” Hilary replied causually.
“She won't do that, ever.” I said.
“Then she won't see you again, ever.” Hilary mocked.
“Just let her go, Hilary!” I exclaimed.
“Relax Ella, Mummy will be fine.” Hilary laughed.
“At least let me talk to her.” I begged.
“Oh, alright. Elaine, come over here.” I heard Hilary say. There was a noise then Mum said,
“Ella?”
“Mum! Oh, are you alright?!” I exclaimed.
“I'm fine, darling. But listen carefully, Hilary's got me at 5th Avenue. I don't know where. But it's an old building, brown, dark and with bricked up windows. Hurry, OK?” Mum whispered.
“Enough chit-chat. Bye Ella!” I heard Hilary say, and she hung up, before Mum could say any more.
“Hilary! Oh, I will get you, and my mum!!” I exclaimed. I was soooo angry.

Chapter 7

The next day I set off for 5th Avenue. I got a cab, and hurried it over.
“Thanks.” I said as I got out and paid the driver. Then I set off down the road. I looked carefully at each building. Hmm, the first one was pale and modern, as was the secong. As I kept looking, most buildings were pale and modern, so I decided it would be easy to pick out the building with Mum in it.
Then came the challenge. I saw two buildings exactly what Mum had described, old, dark and brown. I knew there was one bit more of information but I couldn't remember it. Broken glass? No, that wasn't it.  Trees in the garden? No, don't think so. Weeds everywhere, that couldn't be it. Then I had it. Bricked up windows! I looked at the right house, which had broken windows, not bricked up windows, The left house, though, was just as Mum had said,so I crept down the path, and  through the open door.
In the main room, Mum was walking about, with Hilary watching her slyly. As every good agent knows, don't make an entrance. Creep in, and then grab what your looking for and make a run for it. So, I made a hand gesture to Mum, who blinked twice then nodded.
“Uh, Hilary, can I have a glass of water?” She asked.
“Go get it yourself.” Hilary responded. Mum nodded, and ran out to me. She hugged me tight.
“Oh, darling!” She said loudly.
“Shhh! No time for greetings now, let's get out of here!” I hissed.

Chapter 8

We ran out of the big building, and all the way out of 5th Avenue. Just as we turned, Hilary saw us and started running towards us. We saw two boys on motercycles, and ran over to them.
“Hey, want fifteen bucks each for your motebikes?” I asked.
“Whatever.” They said, as I handed them the money.
“OK, Mum, let's go!” I exclaimed.

*           *          *

After an hour of being at home, I was up in my room and heard rustling noises at the window. I ignored it, and got back to the book I was reading. But the rustling kept bugging me, so I opened the window, and in jumped.....Hilary.

“What now!?” I exclaimed.
“I believe your mum owes me some government secrets.” Hilary smirked.
“No she doesn't.” I said.
“Tell me where she is!” Hilary yelled, just as Mum rushed upstairs.
“What's going on?” She asked, and then she saw Hilary.
“Oh, you.” She whispered.
“Oh, Elaine. I have something to tell you!” Hilary took a deep breath, “your daughter has been solving dangerous mysteries for the GSS behind your back!!!”

Chapter 9

It was five minutes later and Hilary had been taken by the police to the police station. Mum and me were left talking.
“Why didn't you tell me?” She asked.
“I was afraid you'd make fuss, and give away any information I told you.” I confessed.
“Of course I wouldn't do that.” Mum replied.
“I know.” I said.
“You can trust me, Ella, I'm your mum.” Mum said. I hugged her close.
“I know.” I repeated.
Then Megan rushed into the house.
“Ella! I've got Becky on the phone and she really needs to speak to you!” She announced loudly. She handed me the phone.
“Becky?” I said.
“Ella, I told you. No solving this case.” She paused.
“I'm sorry Becky.” I said.
“I wasn't finished. I'm glad you did all the same, otherwise we would have had a criminal loose in the agency. Thank you.” Becky said, and I could tell she was smiling.
“Hilary's at the police station now, Becky.” I told her.
“Good to know. Oh, and I need you over here with Megan at 7:00pm. Wear your best dresses.” Becky said, then she hung up.

Chapter 10

At 7:00 me and Megan were wearing our nicest party dresses, and were over at H.Q. with Becky and the other agents, celebrating ten years of the GSS.
“I like your dresses, girls.” Izzie said to me and Megan, glancing at Megan's short above the knees sripy brown and white dress, with her white ballet flats and her pearl necklace, and smiling at my dazzling knee-length midnight blue dress with a diamond belt around the waist, a diamond necklace on my neck and blue heels on my feet.
“I like yours, Izzie.” I replied, admiring her girly coral pink dress, with her blonde hair tied into a pony tail and her coral pink flip-flops.
Izzie moved on to see her friend Diane, another GSS agent, there were only four now Hilary had gone. Then Becky came over to us. She looked so different with her hair tyed into a bun and a black ankle length dress on her.
“Hi, girls, glad you could make it. I have another thing for you to do though, sorry, you get no break of jobs. I need to find a new person for the GSS, and I want you to pick her. OK? She needs to be adventurous, know what she's doing and brave.” Becky offered.
“Sure!” I exclaimed, then winked at Megan. We both knew who fitted the bill perfectly. As Megan winked back, we were both thinking of her, the newest agent of the GSS.
“I think we know the perfect person....” Megan said. She and I were both thinking, our friend Polly!

Ella the Super Agent - Emily's Revenge

Chapter 1
“Ella, someone's on the phone for you!” My mum shouted to me from downstairs.
“Kay, mum!” I called back. At that second I had been IMing Megan so I had to BRB (be right back) her and run downstairs.
Mum handed me the phone.
“Thanks mum.” I said and took the phone upstairs to my room. I will never forget that conversation. It went something like this:
Me: Hello?
Other person: Hello Ella.
Me: Um, who is this?
Other person: Don't you mind. But I have exactly  four words for you.
Me: Who are you?
Other person: Watch out Miss Cooper.
Me: What? Is this a joke.
Silence............
I was so scared and I IMed Megan the whole conversation.
CheekyMonkey: OMG, Ella!
SpyGirl: I know right?
CheekyMonkey: You have to tell Becky!
SpyGirl: Well, I know that I can't tell mum, she doesn't even know I'm a spy!
CheekyMonkey: Becky needs to know this, I have to text her to get online now.

Chapter 2
TheBoss: Megan told me something was wrong.
SpyGirl: Becky, I just got a threatening call!!
TheBoss: Really?
CheekyMonkey: It's true!!
TheBoss: OMG!!!
CheekyMonkey: My same reaction.
SpyGirl: Here, I'll IM you the conversation,
I sent Becky the whole phone call.
TheBoss: How unusual.
SpyGirl: And, they knew my name!!
CheekyMonkey: That's what makes it scary.
SpyGirl: Deffo.
CheekyMonkey: You know what, we should try and figure this out.
TheBoss: How?
CheekyMonkey: I'm not sure. But we deffinately can.
TheBoss: How can you be so sure?
CheekyMonkey: Because we've delt with all sorts of missions, and we've always succeeded.
TheBoss: True.
SpyGirl: Megan, are you saying we can try and figure out who called me?
CheekyMonkey: Yes.
SpyGirl: I'm in.

Chapter 3
Me, Megan and Becky met at H.Q. the next day. Once we were all there, we got to work.
“OK, Ella, give me the details of the call.” Megan instructed.
“OK, well, it was a woman. She sounded in her early twentys. Does that help?” I explained.
“Yes. Now we need to think.” Megan replied.
There was some silence for a second. Suddenly, my phone beeped.
“Oh, I've got a text message.” I said as I got out my phone. I read the message and dropped my phone in shock.
The message read:

I'm coming for you. . .

“Ella, you OK?” Becky asked. Megan picked up my phone.
“Oh. My. Gosh.” She said when she read the message.
“What does it say?” Becky asked.
“It says, I'm coming for you.” Megan answered. Becky stood still and there was a moment of silence.
“Who from?” She asked.
“It's from – your worst nightmare.” I told her.

Chapter 4
“Ella, does it actually say, your worst nightmare?” Becky asked.
“Yes. It says, I'm coming for you. . . from: your worst nightmare.” I explained.
“That is scary. Hey, you two, do you think that the phone call and the text message are connected?” Becky asked.
“How would they?” Megan convinced.
“They could've been from the same person. The same person who called, might've of sent the text message.” Becky explained.
“That's possible.” I said.
“I see. Oh gosh, this whole thing is so spooky.” Megan said. I nodded.
“Well, all I can say is that, I have a feeling the GSS have another mission on their hands.” Becky announced.
“Totally.” Megan agreed.
“Now, we need to think about this person, and why they would've called.” Becky instructed. Me and Megan nodded.
I thought back to the day of the phone call. The person was a woman, sounded in her early twentys. And she sounded a little like me as well. But I supposed that was just the signal on the phone.
Suddenly, I had an idea....

Chapter 5
“Becky, you know in movies the person who calls whoever and threatens is usually the villian from the earlier bit of the film who was deafeted?” I asked.
“Yes.” Becky replied.
“Maybe it's the same here. Maybe we know this person from our earlier missions.” I explained.
“Good thinking Ella.” Becky said.
“And you said the person sounded like a woman in her early twentys,” Megan said, “so who in the past have we deafeted who was a woman in her early twentys?”
“That's what we need to figure out and stop her.” I said.
“Good work today girls, maybe we should sleep on this and meet back here tomorrow?” Becky suggested.
“Sounds like a plan.” I responded.
                              . . . . . . . .
When I got home that afternoon, there was a note on the fridge saying,
Gone out grocery shopping, be back later. Dinner is in the fridge. Mum xx
I nodded and opened the fridge door where I found a plate of lasagne covered over with cling film. I took it out of the fridge and sat at the table eating it. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it. No one was there.
“Hello?” I called. Silence.
“Anyone?” I shouted again. No sound. I was about to close the door when a piece of paper blew over to me in the wind and landed at my feet. I picked it up and there, in red lettering, I read:
You ruined me, so now I'll ruin you!
Now I was scared.

Chapter 6
I was scared all night. First a phone call, then a text message and now a creepy note. What next?! I didn't want to think about it anymore so I went up to my  room to go to sleep. Then I remembered what Becky said, “sleep on it.” So I did. I thought about how all of this might be connected. I guessed it was probably done by the same person. But which person? There were 70 billion people in the world, even more, and I had to pick one. I gathered all the clues and thought carefully about them. On the phone, the person sounded like a woman in her early twentys. There was no name on the text, just Your Worst Nightmare, so that was no clue. But the note looked like my handwriting and the person on the phone sounded like me!
I had no idea who it was. So I decided I wouldn't think any more of it tonight and go to sleep. I closed my eyes and put my head down on my pillow.
Suddenly I had it! I knew who was behind this. I had to call Becky. But then I looked at the clock. 10:30pm. Becky would be asleep by now. So I went to sleep myself and decided to tell Becky tomorrow.

Chapter 7
I dialed Becky's number on my phone and waited for her to pick up.
“Hello?” She said.
“Hi Becky!” I replied cheerfully.
“Oh, hi Ella.” Becky greeted, but she sounded strange.
“Listen, I figured it out.” I told her.
“Figured what out?” Becky asked.
“Who called me. Remember?” I said.
“Oh yeah. But before you go into that, I have something to tell you.” Becky said.
“OK, sure.” I said.
“Well, last night I got a message from Megan. She said that she saw you tonight on her way home from H.Q. She said she saw you in a shop, thought they were all closed and that she saw a broken window in the shop. And she said that you had a sack with you and you were taking things from the shop and putting them in the sack. Then she saw you jump out the broken window, grin evilly and run away. Now, as   your a GSS agent, I'm very surprised.” Becky explained.
“That's not true. I was at home last night.” I convinced.
“Not what I heard. Megan said she was sure it was you, she saw your brown hair and your face.” Becky argued.
“It wasn't me. And why would Megan tell you that anyway, I'm her best friend.” I argued back.
“She was doing her job. Now Ella, I don't think you can prove you didn't do it so until you do. . .” She trailed off.
“What are you saying?” I asked.
“Your fired, Ella.”

Chapter 8
I was stunned for a moment. How could Becky fire me?! I was one of her best agents!!
I suddenly remembered that I had figured out who had sent me the note, the text message and the phone call. It had been Emily! My own sister. Then I remembered the note.
'You ruined me, so now I'll ruin you.'
It was Emily who had stolen the things! It was Emily who got me fired! Emily did it all!
“I have to tell Becky.” I said. So I logged onto my computer, and Becky was online.
SpyGirl: Becky! I have to tell you something!
TheBoss: Ella your fired, remember?
SpyGirl: Just hear me out!
TheBoss: OK, what?
SpyGirl: Emily! It was Emily!
TheBoss: Emily did what? But she can't do much, she's in jail.
SpyGirl: No, she isn't. And the proof is that I would never steal anything, plus I was at home last night. So it must have been Emily who stealed those things. Its got to be! And Emily sent me the text message, and she called me, and sent the creepy note!
TheBoss: What creepy note?
SpyGirl: Oh, yeah. Last night, while I was at home, I got this note that said, 'you ruined me, so now I'll ruin you.' It must have been Emily! Who else looks exactly like me?
TheBoss: Sausage. Sausage. What a funny word!
SpyGirl: Becky!
TheBoss: Oh, yeah, sorry.
SpyGirl: So? Am I back in the GSS?
TheBoss: Yes Ella. And I am sorry I judged you, I should've known that you wouldn't do such a thing.
SpyGirl: No kidding!
TheBoss: Wait, Ella...did you say you got a note? Do you still have it?
SpyGirl: Yeah.
TheBoss: I'll be right over! This note might have fingerprints.
SpyGirl: OMG, I forgot completely! :O
Becky logged off and ten minutes later I heard a knock at the door. I answered, it was Becky. With a lot of junk.
“What's all the junk?” I asked.
“It's not junk! It's my science kit, for chemical tests and stuff, where can I set up?” Becky answered.
“Kitchen, I'll get the note.” I said. I ran upstairs, got the creepy note, and ran back downstairs. I went into the kitchen. Becky was there, wearing a big white lab coat, green washing up gloves and science googles. She looked like a freak.
“Becky.....what are you wearing?” I asked.
“My science gear, silly!” Becky nudged me.
“Ok......weird. Well shall we begin?” I asked.
“Yes.” Said Becky.

Chapter 9
“It was Emily.” Becky annouced when we had finished the chemical test, “I know Emily's fingerprints, and these are hers. So I guess we'll be arresting Emily again. I'll call the police and tell them. Where does your sister live?”
“St. Nicholas Avenue, no. 41. Thanks Becky.” I said.
“No problem. Oh, by the way I forgot to give you your pay check from last month, here it is, and here's this month's too.” Becky handed me and envalope.
“But this is $100, $20 more that my usual two month pay.” I was puzzled.
“You deserve it.” Becky smiled.
“Thanks.” I said.
“Oh, the police are on their way to Emily's house. They say they've been tracking down Emily ever since she escaped from prison. She's a clever one, Emily, they say. So let's hope Emily stays in prison for a while, we don't want her causing more trouble.” Becky explained.
“Oh, trust me, Emily is an evil genius.” I laughed.
“I figured.” Becky said, “and well done again, Ella. Once again you've saved the day. I always knew you'd do me proud.”
“And you thought right!” I laughed.
